Research into hyperbaric medicine as a treatment for various pathologies
Research into hyperbaric medicine as a treatment for various pathologies
A series of independent, peer-reviewed clinical trials has shown that The Aviv Medical Program, which includes Aviv’s unique protocols of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can treat and improve the symptoms of a range of different health conditions, including:
Traumatic brain injury/Concussions
Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
Follow the links to learn more about the research into HBOT and each condition.
Until now, these indications have not commonly been treated by HBOT.
One of the core aims of Aviv Cares is to further the application of the science of hyperbaric medicine, helping more people live healthier lives.

How to refer a patient
How to refer a patient
We’re asking physicians to refer patients who may benefit from the Aviv Program and would not normally be able to afford treatment. At present, we’re welcoming applications from:
- People recovering from stroke
- People with PTSD/TBI who have served in the armed forces, police force, or fire services
- People diagnosed with Lyme Disease
- People diagnosed with Fibromyalgia
Participants need to be able to commit to three consecutive months of treatment and testing at the Aviv Clinic in Central Florida.
Aviv Cares will cover a large portion of the cost of the treatment based on income level.
Participants will need to cover travel costs and living expenses during treatment. Charitable organizations may be able to provide support to cover these additional costs.

Other ways to get involved
Other ways to get involved
We’re reaching out to physicians with specialties related to the conditions listed above to join Aviv Cares Selection Committees. These Selection Committees are responsible for reviewing applications and selecting patients based on the likely positive outcomes of receiving treatment. Patient data and medical research will be made available to aid in the review process.
We’re also seeking physicians who will act as overseers of the treatment, providing opinion on protocol outcomes and program results, and helping with care coordination in the community.
Proximity to The Villages, Florida, is a bonus but not essential.
