Age-related cognitive and functional decline has become a significant concern in the Western world. More than half of community-dwelling individuals, sixty years, and older, express concern about declining physical and cognitive abilities. Major research efforts around the world are focused on improving cognitive performance of the so-called 'normal' aging population. Over years of research, there is growing evidence from clinical studies that HBOT, utilized in a repeated daily sessions protocol, has neurotherapeutic effects which can improve and restore cognitive brain functions.
